Ernest Guigli & Sons, Inc. Breaks Ground on New Maintenance Facility
August 2, 2006
Ernest Guigli & Sons, Inc. broke ground this past Wednesday on its new Equipment Service Facility in Southborough, MA. The new facility scheduled from completion in early 2008 will house 25,000 square feet of warehousing storage and shop space. Ernesto Guigli, Chairman of Ernest Guigli & Sons, Inc. is excited about the facility’s role in maintaining the reliability of the company’s fleet. “Proper maintenance is very important to a company like ours. Our new shop is necessary to ensure we continue to provide our clients with the most well maintained equipment.”
In addition to the generous warehousing and storage space, the shop will also house two 25 ton electric ceiling cranes, truck lifts, computer-based diagnostic equipment, a transmission and engine shop, as well as a variety of other state of the art tools and equipment to assist in the maintenance of the company’s fleet.
Although Ernest Guigli & Sons, Inc. typically acts as a Site Contractor in commercial building projects, the company will be the General Contractor for this project. This will not be the first time Ernest Guigli & Sons acted as the sole contractor for a project of this magnitude. In 2001, Guigli & Sons over-sought the construction of the company’s new office in Natick, MA.
With the new shop will also come new jobs to assist the master mechanic in the maintenance department; these include assistant mechanics and parts runners. To enquire about these new employment opportunities please visit www.guigli.com.
